Saturday, 6/10/2017 - Charlotte, NC to NYC! (no baseball)

Do we have to build the road before we can drive on it? I hope they gave us all the parts!

The college so nice, they named it twice.

We stopped for lunch and saw this. Todd approves.

Stephanie prefers curly fries. Is that surprising?

For some reason this was funny. We can't remember why now. We were pretty delirious.

Hi Virginia!

Every time we go past this hill, we take this picture. Maybe next time we'll actually go there. Maybe.

Hello West Virginia!

Pat Tabler was a baseball player. He played for Stephanie's Cleveland Indians in the 80's. This is a baseball trip.

Hi Maryland! Just passing through.

Pretty sky!

Hi Pennsylvania

Once everything was said and done, we put another 3,441 miles on Todd's poor car.
Talk about a trooper!

Friday, 6/9/2017 - Charlotte, NC (no baseball)

This is, just, odd. Is it just us or is it unclear if he's buying or selling?

On our way into Charlotte for lunch, we saw this. This is also odd but maybe less so than the test strips.

Today was the Taste of Charlotte event! They had a band and a dancing guy.

We skipped Taste of Charlotte and opted for a local NYC favorite. They opened up a second location in Charlotte and we had to support it!

Good pizza!

The strangest-looking penne a la vodka we've seen.

Thanks Libretto's

The main location of young Mr. Earnhardt's restaurant.

Cool sculpture

The Charlotte Knights make an appearance at Taste of Charlotte.

A lot of people also came out to dine.

Still toodling about Charlotte, we went to an outlet mall (and Stephanie's life changed for the better). They also had the life-sized video game controllers. Now we can show scale.

Well yeah, we know! No need to be rude!
Stephanie wanted to buy this for our friend Caroline. Todd wouldn't let her. Bad Todd.

Stephanie spent 45 minutes trying to get a picture of the team's name on their jersey and failed. The team's name is Dirtbags. You're welcome.

Now we're off to another musical event. We parked in BFE, On our way into the venue, we saw this.

Aaand we're in the venue. We're here at the PNC Music Pavilion to see (deep breath) IRON MAIDEN!!!!

A lot of other people were there too.

We were two of those people. We chose to wear shirts of our friends' enterprises. Todd is sporting Papa Large (our friend Daniel's company) and Stephanie looks delightful in the artist Joey James Hernandez's Iron Maiden inspired Driven Mad t-shirt. Rock on, rockers.

This guy brought Eddie's head.

For those who are interested, this is the setlist of the show we saw.

After the show, we went out to a local pub. We met Gene. Hi Gene! See you in two years in NYC!

Thursday, 6/8/2017 - Charlotte, NC (no baseball)

For breakfast, we went looking for Brad's wife

 We found some rockers.

According to the tag, Todd is an "Adult Rocker."

According to the tag, Stephanie is a "Comfortably Broken-in Rocker."

Still in Charlotte, tonight we're going to the legendary Milestone Club to surprise our friends in the NYC band IKILLYA at their show here. Shh! Don't tell them we're going!

SURPRISE! Hi Jason!

Hi Rob!

Hi Eric!

Hi Drew!

They are serious down here in the South.

Evidently, Bad Brains wrote this themselves when they played here.

This is Black Ritual, the first band tonight. They ripped our faces off. (that's a positive thing)

They had a guest singer, the drummer from Skinlab, the final band of the night.

Legendary

Stickers and markers, huh?

Rebels!

That is a cool shirt!

This is Blackwater Drowning. Awesome!

IKILLYA set list!

Brand new IKILLYA music!

Autographed by the artists!

IKILLYA is ready to tear it up! We're admittedly biased, but they KILLED it!

Drew!

Rob!

Jason!
Please note the different mics in use. Jason kept killing all his mics.

Eric!

The media is in attendance.

Warning to Jason: Someone wants to be a little inappropriate with you.
FYI -  Todd and I did NOT write this.

This is Product of Hate. We were blown away.

Jason and the singer from Black Ritual helping out on the singing with Product of Hate.

Nom nom

This was a bad idea.

This is Skinlab. Fuhgeddaboudit. Bonus appearance by the shirtless guy who kept starting pits and throwing beer on everyone.

The Skinlab drummer who was guest-singing earlier with Black Ritual.

Great job

After the show, Jason showed us the Vanimal.

Beautiful and brutal on the inside.

One of the other bands loaded up in a very visually appealing and satisfying manner.

Hurrah! Great show guys! We wish you all the best on the remainder of your tour!
